- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. bacon or roast drippings
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. finely grated Gruyere cheese
Directions

1Beat the eggs in a medium mixing bowl until very thick and lemon colored.

2Add the milk gradually, then add the bacon drippings and blend thoroughly.

3Add the flour and salt gradually and beat until smooth.

4Fold in half the cheese.

5Pour into a well-greased 1-quart baking dish.

6Then sprinkle the remaining cheese over top.

7Bake in a preheated 450° oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

8Serve immediately.
