- 3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
- 1 (12 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) Mexican-style chili beans
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3+ Tbsp. chili powder
Directions

1Brown hamburger in skillet.

2Add chopped onion, salt and pepper to taste.

3Add chili powder.

4Crush whole tomatoes and place in crock-pot.

5Add tomato sauce and chili beans.

6Add sugar. Add hamburger mixture to crock-pot. After cooking for 1 to 2 hours, begin tasting and season to your liking.

7Tastes even better if it is cooked one day and refrigerated overnight and then reheat.

8Yields 4 to 6 servings.
