- 1 c. each: chopped onion, celery and green pepper
- 2 minced cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (28 oz.) can peeled tomatoes
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste (may need to add 1/2 c. water)
- 1 to 3 tsp. chili powder (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Brown beef in skillet; drain and combine with all other ingredients in Dutch oven and bring to boil.

2Then simmer for 1 to 2 hours.

3Or you may prepare in crock-pot and let simmer all day long.
