Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (1 5/8 oz.) pkg. chili mix
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained

Directions

    Saute onions in margarine about 2 minutes.

    Add green pepper and beef.

    Cook 4 to 5 minutes.

    Drain grease.

    Add remaining ingredients, mix well, breaking up tomatoes.

    Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
