- 1 (4 oz.) box German chocolate
- 3 eggs plus 1 egg yolk
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grease and flour a tube pan; line bottom of pan with wax paper. Melt chocolate over hot water.

2Cool.

3Sift dry ingredients together.

4Blend butter to soften in a mixing bowl.

5Add sugar. Add dry ingredients, milk and vanilla.

6Mix to dampen flour.

7Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.

8Add eggs and egg yolk and chocolate. Beat 1 minute longer.

9Pour into pan and bake at 250° for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
