- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup butter, chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 None egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5.25 oz dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup macadamia nuts, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

1Preheat oven to 325°F. Line 2 large baking trays with parchment paper.

2Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Add dark chocolate and macadamia nuts and mix until just combined. Chill for 30 mins, until firm.

3Using clean hands, shape dough into walnut-sized balls. Arrange 2 inches apart on prepared trays. Flatten slightly and dust with powdered sugar. Bake for 10-15 mins, until cookies crack on top. Let cool on trays for 10 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve with coffee.
