Chocolate Cream Roll

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 sq. bitter chocolate, melted
  • 5 Tbsp. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • egg whites, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • whipped cream

Directions

    Beat until thick the egg yolks, sugar, chocolate, flour, baking powder and salt.

    Fold in egg whites and vanilla.

    Bake in a 10 x 15-inch pan, greased with waxed paper 10 to 15 minutes at 400°.

    When it comes out of the oven, place on a towel with powdered sugar spread on it.

    Cut the ends.

    When cool, spread whipped cream over and roll.

    Place in refrigerator.
