- 6 c. rolled oats
- 1/2 c. sunflower seeds or nuts
- 1/2 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 c. powdered milk
- 2/3 c. honey
- 2/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. slivered almonds
Directions

1Place oats in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 10 minutes, stirring 2 to 3 times.

2Remove from oven and add sunflower seeds, coconut, wheat germ, powdered milk, cinnamon, slivered almonds.

3Place honey and vegetable oil in a pan on stove top and heat until hot but not boiling.

4Pour over dry mixture and stir until well coated.

5Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350°, stirring every 3 to 5 minutes until uniformly golden brown.

6Let cool in pan undisturbed, then break into chunks.

7May add raisins, dates and dried apricots.

8Store in airtight container.
