- 6 (6 oz.) cans chopped clams
- 1 1/2 medium onions, diced
- 3 to 4 stalks celery, diced
- 9 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. white pepper
- 1 tsp. whole thyme
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 3/4 lb. bacon, diced
- 1/2 bunch fresh parsley, minced
- 2 gal. milk
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 lb. flour
Directions

1Combine onions, celery, basil, garlic and thyme in separate bowl; set aside.

2In 3-gallon saucepot, brown bacon, then add clams and juice.

3Simmer 20 minutes.

4Add onions, celery, basil, garlic, thyme, pepper and oregano.

5Simmer until celery is done.
