- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. dark soy sauce
- 1/4 c. pineapple juice
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 to 3 lb. chicken wings, cut at the joint, tips discarded
Directions

1Combine sugar, water, soy sauce, pineapple juice, oil, ginger and garlic powder.

2Stir until sugar is dissolved.

3Pour over chicken wings in bowl small enough so that all are covered.

4Cover and refrigerate.

5Marinate at least one full day, stirring occasionally.
