- 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. cold milk
- 1 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. shredded coconut
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Blend sugar, flour and salt with cold milk.

2Add scalded milk, stirring constantly.

3Cook slowly until thick.

4Add beaten egg yolks and cook 2 minutes longer.

5Remove from heat; add vanilla, coconut and butter.

6Cool and pour into baked pie shell.

7Top with meringue and bake at 325° for 13 minutes.
