- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 9-inch baked crust
Directions

1In saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt.

2Gradually stir in milk.

3Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly.

4Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir small amount hot mixture into yolks; return to hot mixture.

7Cook 2 more minutes, stirring constantly.

8Remove from heat.

9Add butter, vanilla and coconut.

10Pour into cool crust; top with meringue.

11Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350°.
