  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 small onion, shredded
  • celery seed
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 14 cup oil
  • 14 cup vinegar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper

Directions

    Place cabbage, carrot and onion in a bowl that can be covered.

    Sprinkle with celery seed.

    Bring to a boil the sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

    Pour boiling mixture over veggies.

    Do not stir veggies.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight or for about 6 to 8 hours.
