- 1 small onion, shredded
- celery seed
- 12 cup sugar
- 14 cup oil
- 14 cup vinegar
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
Directions

1Place cabbage, carrot and onion in a bowl that can be covered.

2Sprinkle with celery seed.

3Bring to a boil the sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

4Pour boiling mixture over veggies.

5Do not stir veggies.

6Cover and refrigerate overnight or for about 6 to 8 hours.
