- 1 medium size head cabbage
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 medium onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. vegetable oil
Directions

1In a 9 x 13-inch cake pan, chop cabbage and spread out until about 1 1/2 inches thick.

2Spread salt over the surface.

3Do not stir for 1 hour.

4Stir, then chop onion, pepper and celery.

5Add to cabbage.

6Boil together the sugar, vinegar and oil; pour over the cabbage mixture while boiling hot.

7Do not stir until cold. Refrigerate.
