  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Heat oven to 375°.

    Combine margarine, vanilla and salt. Blend well.

    Gradually beat in sugar.

    Add flour and chocolate bits.

    Mix well.

    Press evenly into ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.

    Sprinkle nuts over top.

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Cool, then break into irregular pieces or cut in squares.
