Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 pan yellow cornbread (8 x 13-inch, made with 3 c. milk, self-rising cornmeal and 1 egg)
  • 1/2 loaf light bread or biscuits
  • 1 doz. eggs, boiled and chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped and cooked in broth until tender
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick oleo
  • chicken, boiled and deboned
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Crumble cornbread and light bread into broth.

    Add all other ingredients.

    If real thick, add more broth.

    Pour into baking pan and bake at 400° for awhile, then turn oven down to 350° to finish cooking.
