  • 1 head lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons onion grated
  • 1/2 pound crab meat
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts sliced
  • 2 stalks celery sliced
  • 3 green onions with tops, sliced
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped
  • 2 tomatoes cut in wedges
  • 1 bunch asparagus spears

    Chill dressing 30 minutes.

    Line salad bowls with outside lettuce leaves, shred the rest.

    Toss lettuce, crab, water chestnuts, celery, green onion and green pepper with dressing.

    Spoon into lined bowls and garnish with tomatoes, asparagus and lemon wedges.
