- 1 lb. Maryland backfin crabmeat
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. onion juice
- 1/4 tsp. liquid hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 4 thin slices Smithfield ham
Directions

1Remove cartilage from crabmeat.

2Melt butter in skillet.

3Add crabmeat, lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion juice, liquid hot pepper sauce and thyme.

4Saute briefly until crabmeat is just heated through.

5Cover and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until edges of ham curl and flavors are well-blended.

6May be served on toast.
