- 6 c. sugar
- 3 c. canned cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 heaping tsp. peanut butter (optional)
- 1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans; optional)
Directions

1Combine sugar and cocoa. Blend well. Add milk and salt. Mix well, using mixer. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a solid ball in water. Add vanilla, butter, peanut butter and nuts. Remove from heat and beat with mixer until stiff. Pour into greased cookie sheet. Let cool and cut into squares.
