Dill Onion Rings

  • 1 large Bermuda onion
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. dill weed or dill seed
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • liquid no calorie sweetener (6 tsp.) or 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Peel and cut onion into thin crosswise slices.

    Separate into rings.

    Place in small bowl. Combine vinegar, water, salt, dill weed and sugar in saucepan.

    Heat to boiling.

    Pour over onion rings; cover tightly and chill at least 1 hour to blend flavors. The liquid can be reheated and used on another onion.
