- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 cake or pkg. yeast
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. onion flakes
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 1 egg (unbeaten)
Directions

1Warm large bowl by allowing hot water to stand in it a few minutes.

2Pour in 1/4 cup warm water.

3Add yeast and stir with wooden spoon until dissolved.

4Warm cheese slightly in double boiler over warm water.

5Add to yeast mixture, then beat in sugar, dill seed, onion flakes, soda, salt and butter.

6Add egg, then stir in flour until it is all moistened.

7With rather sticky dough still in the bowl, knead until it appears slightly smooth.

8You may add some flour, but none is preferable.

9Grease top of dough.
