- 4 c. fruit
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted and cooled
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. warm water
- Pam vegetable spray
Directions

1Spray Pam into a 9-inch size pan or dish.

2Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, cooled margarine, buttermilk and vanilla.

3Mix well. Spoon batter over fruit.

4Mix 1 cup sugar and warm water. Stir well to dissolve sugar.

5Pour water mixture over batter very slowly. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

6You may sprinkle a little sugar over top before baking, if desired.
