  • day old bread (take off crust)
  • ham or sausage, browned, drained and crumbled
  • seasonings: salt, pepper, onion, garlic and seasoning salt (optional)
  • grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 6 eggs

Directions

    Butter casserole dish.

    Layer: bread, butter (pats), sprinkle of ham or sausage and grated cheese.

    Repeat.

    Mix milk and eggs well.

    Pour over layers.

    Let set overnight or several hours in refrigerator.

    Bake at 350° for one hour.
