- 1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can sauerkraut
- 1/2 ??? caraway seed
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1 medium thinly sliced onion
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 medium apples

- frankfurters
Directions

1Combine sauerkraut, caraway seed, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, onion slices and margarine.

2Place in shallow square baking dish.

3Cut unpeeled apples into halves and remove cores.

4Brush cut surfaces with margarine and sprinkle with brown sugar.

5Arrange apple halves on the sauerkraut in a diagonal line across the center of the casserole.

6Place 2 frankfurters on each side of the apple halves. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

7Serve immediately.
