Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour or 2 1/2 to 3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon or 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1/2 c. fruit juice
  • 3 1/2 to 4 c. fruit, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Cook the first four ingredients over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.

    Pour over the drained fruit.

    Mix lightly and pour into a 9-inch pie crust.

    Dot with butter on top of fruit.

    Cover with crust which has slits cut in.

    Bake at 425° for 15 minutes, turn oven down to 350° for 30 to 40 minutes until crust is golden brown.
