Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt (less, if desired)
- 3 c. water or milk or 6 Tbsp. dry milk and 2/3 c. water
- vegetable oil for frying
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients.

2Stir in liquid.

3Dough may be sticky.

4More flour can be worked in as dough is kneaded for about 3 minutes.

5Allow to stand at room temperature for 1 hour.

6Cover with cloth or plastic wrap.

7Divide dough into 15 pieces.

8Flour your hands.
-
9Make each piece into a 3-inch round.

10Cover again for 10 minutes.

11Fry in 2-inches of oil to 340° to 350° in frypan or skillet, about 1 minute on each side.

12Drain on paper towel. Serve with cinnamon and sugar or any jam.
