  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
