- 12 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. celery salt
- 3 c. buttered bread crumbs or Pepperidge Farm stuffing
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese slices
Directions

1Cook carrots.

2Saute onion in butter.

3Stir in flour, salt, dry mustard and milk.

4Add pepper and celery salt.

5In 2-quart casserole, arrange layers of carrots and cheese, ending with carrots.

6Pour on sauce.

7Top with crumbs.

8Bake 20 minutes or until hot throughout.
