Holiday Sausage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh or dried chives
  • 1 8 oz. cream of cheese softened
  • 2 10 count cans crescent rolls

Directions

    Brown sausage in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Combine with chives and cream cheese in bowl; mix well.

    Unroll one can dough on floured surface; press to seal perforations.

    Spread with half the sausage mixture.

    Roll as for jelly roll, from long side repeat with remaining dough and filling.

    Freeze for 20 minutes or until firm.

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

    Cut rolls into 1/4 in slices.

    Place on baking sheet.

    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.

    May freeze baked slices for up to 2 weeks and reheat at 400 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes.
