- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 oz. pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. wheat flour
Directions

1Warm milk and butter together.

2In a large bowl, combine the water, sugar, yeast, salt and milk mixture.

3Add the flours. Knead until smooth and elastic, adding as little additional flour as possible.

4Let rise until doubled; punch down.

5Let rise until doubled again.

6Form into 2 loaves and place in greased loaf pans. Bake in a 350° oven for 50 minutes.

7Makes 2 loaves.
