- 2 cups flour, plus
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon Southern Comfort
- 4 cups pecans, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 4 egg whites
Directions

1Sift flour salt and sugar together.

2Mix in the butter, then southern comfort and egg yolks.

3Pat into a greased 15x10x1 inch pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

4While baking make the topping by combining sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans and egg whites in a heavy saucepan.

5Cook over low heat stirring often until sugars dissolve.

6Increase heat and continue to cook until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.

7Spread topping on baked mixture and bake 15 minutes longer.

8Cool slighty and cut into bars.

9If you like they can be dusted with confectioners sugar.
