- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 Tbsp. caraway seed (optional)
Directions

1Sift the flour and dry ingredients together.

2Cream the shortening and sugar.

3Add egg and sour cream.

4Add to flour mixture.

5Stir until just blended.

6Fold in raisins and caraway seed.

7Place in greased loaf pan.

8Bake at 375° for about

950 minutes.

10Rub a little butter over the top of the bread.
