  • 1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. lemon cake mix
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg of Lime Jello
  • 1 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • Frosting
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 4 cups confectioners sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • lime zest (optional)

    Mix cake mix, lime jello, vegetable oil, orange juice. Add eggs one at a time.

    Grease and flour 3 (8 inch) cake pans or 1 (9 x 13 inch) sheet pan. Bake according to temperature and time on cake mix.

    To prepare frosting beat softened cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Slowly add sugar and lime juice, continue to mix until smooth. Add lime zest to taste. Spread on cooled cake.
