Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil
  • 3 Tbsp. minced onions
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. whole kernel corn with pepper, drained

Directions

    Mix first 5 dry ingredients.

    Cut in margarine and oil until crumbly.

    Stir in onion, milk and corn to form dough.

    Drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet.

    Bake in preheated 425° oven for about 12 minutes or until slightly browned.

    Serves 16.

    Can be frozen and reheated in microwave for about 38 seconds.
