Ingredients

  • 1 head of lettuce, broken
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced (1 green bunch)
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas thawed, but not cooked
  • 2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise, mixed with 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (4 ounce) package sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 6 to 8 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
  • salt
  • Parmesan cheese grated

Directions

    In a bowl, layer first 8 ingredients in order given.

    Chill for 24 hours.

    When ready to serve, salt to taste; toss with parmesan cheese.

    Serves 8 to 10.
