  • 1 head lettuce, shredded
  • 1 1/2 c. celery, sliced
  • 3/4 c. green onions, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sliced chestnuts, drained
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. thawed peas
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 6 tsp. sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. bacon bits

Directions

    Layer first 6 ingredients in large salad bowl.

    Cover with mayonnaise and sugar mixture.

    Next, sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and bacon bits.

    Do not toss.

    Garnish with cherry tomatoes. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
