Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce or bunch spinach
  • 1 pkg. cooked English peas (frozen)
  • water chestnuts, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. each: onion, bell pepper and celery
  • Hellmann's mayonnaise (about 3 c.)
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Fill bowl 3/4 full with lettuce or spinach.

    Layer English peas, water chestnuts, onion, bell pepper and celery.

    Cover top with Hellmann's mayonnaise.

    Sprinkle sugar over top and keep in refrigerator overnight.

    When ready to serve, crumble bacon over top.
