Mashed Turnips with Caraway

- 2 pounds turnips, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Directions

1Place the turnips in a pot and cover with water; bring to a boil over high heat and cook until turnips turn yellowish orange and are soft, 10 to 12 minutes.

2Drain water, leaving turnips in the pot.

3Stir the butter and caraway seeds into the turnips.

4Season to taste with salt and pepper.

5Use a potato masher to mash turnips to desired consistency.

6Stir in the cream and mash again, blending well.
