Meringue Snowmen

- 3 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- small red cinnamon candies
- pretzel sticks
Directions

1Cover cookie sheet with heavy brown paper.

2Place egg whites in bowl.

3Add cream of tartar and beat at high speed until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar a tablespoonful at a time.

4Turn off mixer occasionally and scrape sides of bowl.

5Continue beating at high speed until stiff and glossy, about 6 or 7 minutes.

6For each snowman, drop two rounded tablespoonfuls of meringue, just touching each other, on brown paper; then add rounded teaspoonful of meringue at top for head.

7Place pretzel stick arms and cinnamon candy eyes, mouth and buttons on each snowman.

8Bake at 275° for 45 minutes.

9Turn off heat and leave snowmen in oven for one hour.
