Ingredients: 2 c. sugar; 2 c. plain flour or 2 c. self-rising flour and leave out soda; 1 c. vegetable shortening; 1 stick margarine; 1 c. water; 4 Tbsp. cocoa; 2 eggs; 1/2 c. buttermilk; 1 tsp. soda; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. vegetable shortening
1 stick margarine
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Mix sugar and flour in bowl.

In a saucepan, put shortening, margarine, water and cocoa; bring to a boil over low heat. Combine with dry ingredients.

Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, cinnamon and vanilla.

Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

Pour Neighbors Chocolate Cake Icing over hot cake.
