- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 2/3 c. scalded milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- shell for 9-inch pie
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Beat eggs slightly with rotary beater. Add remaining ingredients, beating until thoroughly mixed.

3Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.

4Place on cookie sheet.

5Bake for 15 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from side of rim comes out clean.

6The center may look soft, but will set later.

7Cooking too long makes a watery custard and soggy crust.
