- 2 1/2 c. rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/4 c. torula yeast powder
- 3/4 c. cooked rice or bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1 large, chopped onion
- 1/4 c. soy milk powder (optional)
Directions

1Cover oats and soy sauce with boiling water; cool.

2Add all rest and mix well.

3Form into burgers and bake, browning both sides, in 350° oven.

4Serve on buns or in gravy.

5Can be browned in skillet first, then put in a casserole in oven and baked with 2 cans mushroom soup, diluted with 1 to 1 1/2 cups milk.

6Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, until mushroom soup begins to bubble. Serves 4 to 6.
