- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1 c. quick-cooking, rolled oats
- 1/3 c. dark molasses
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 5 or 6 c. flour

3in the 1/2 cup lukewarm water.

4Set aside. In another bowl, combine the 1 1/4 cups boiling water, oats, molasses,

6Cool to lukewarm. Add the beaten

11Add enough flour to make a soft dough, 5 or 6 cups.
