Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions

    In a large mixing bowl, stir together dry ingredients.

    Set aside.

    In separate bowl, stir together eggs, milk, butter and brown sugar.

    Add to flour mixture; mix well.

    Pour small amounts of batter onto hot greased waffle iron.

    Close lid quickly.

    Do not open iron while cooking.

    Remove waffle with fork.

    Serve with fresh fruit or yogurt.

    Makes 12 (4-inch size) waffles.
