Old Fashioned Boiled Ham

- 1 bon-in ham shoulder
- whole cloves (I use around 4 or 5)
- 1 bay leaf
Directions

1Place ham in large kettle so you can cover with cold water. Add the bay leaf and cloves.

2Cover and boil gently for around 4 hours until tender, about 25 minutes per pound.

3Let ham remain in water about 2 or 3 hours.

4Ham is ready to eat.
