Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans (if you like)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.

2Cream butter, sugar and eggs.

3Add vanilla, milk and dry ingredients.

4Blend well.

5Place dough on a lightly floured board.

6Sprinkle a little flour over the dough and roll to about 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut with cookie cutter.

8Place on cookie sheet and bake in a moderate oven at 350° or 375° for about 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned on top.

9This recipe does not call for pecans, but I add 1 cup chopped.
