1Peel onions.

2** This step is the blanch method of preparing the onions to dehydrate.

3** Bring water to a boil.

4Add the onions to the boiling water.

5Blanch them for 1 to 2 minutes.

6Rinse under cold water.

7Skip to step 4.

8** This step is the chopped up onion method of preparing the onions to dehydrate.

9** Chop the onions into very small pieces.

10If using chopped onions, load them on screens in the dehydrator.

11If using blanched onion ringlets simply load them on the dehydrator trays.

12Dehydrate at 130F / 54.4C.

13for 12 to 24 hours, or until fully dehydrated (be sure they are crispy and brittle).

14** Onions take a long time, so be sure to check on them, as all dehydrators are different.

15You may be able to find ways to drasticly cut down the the dehydrating time.

17Grind into powder with a grinder or nutribullet (using the milling blade).

18Load into jars for storage.
