- 1 large Bermuda onion
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 4 c. flour
- 1 qt. oil for frying
Directions

1Heat oil in heavy metal pan to 375°.

2Slice a large onion crosswise, about 3/8-inches thick.

3Separate into rings.

4Dip rings first in buttermilk, then flour.

5Repeat this 3 times.

6Fry in oil (turning once) until golden brown.

7Use tongs to put in and remove.

8Drain on paper towels and keep warm in 200° oven until serving.

9Season as desired with salt.
