  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 14 cups water
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 12 cup frozen baby peas, thawed
  • 12 cup dry roasted peanuts, chopped
  • 14 cup green onion, sliced (green and white parts)

Directions

    Mix the rice, water, salt, and turmeric in a pot, and bring to a boil.

    Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 20 minutes.

    Stir the onions, peas and peanuts into the cooked rice, and serve.
