- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 10 1/2 oz. can French onion soup
- 14 oz. can whole tomatoes
- 1 green pepper, seeded and cut up
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- hot cooked rice or mashed potatoes
Directions

1Cut round steak into thin strips.

2In skillet, cook and stir beef strips until no longer pink.

3Add soup and liquid from tomatoes.

4Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.

5Add green pepper.

6Simmer 15 minutes.

7Cut tomatoes into quarters; add to mixture and simmer 5 minutes.

8Add soy sauce and pepper.

9In small bowl, combine cornstarch and water.

10Stir into meat mixture.

11Heat and stir until mixture boils and thickens.

12Serve over rice or potatoes.
